WEDNESDAY 29TH – 30TH JUNE:  Today the nation’s best up-and-coming young talent are taking part in the skillVM 2011 finals at London Olympia’s In-Store Show - the UK’s only live visual merchandising competition. Over the next two days, students from across the UK will be creating window displays against the clock while being judged by industry professionals (and their peers), with winning entries getting the chance for their designs to be recreated in a high-street store this summer.

Now in its third year, SkillVM (Skillsmart Retail’s Visual Merchandising Competition) is organised and run by Skillsmart Retail. The competition gives students the chance to demonstrate their visual merchandising, creative and technical skills and helps to highlight the importance of retail skills, demonstrating  how highly trained, creative  VM’s can bring a competitive edge to any retail business in these tough economic times.

Film Crews are welcome to come down to Olympia, London, to film the competition and interview competitors and judges.
