The clock is ticking for Britain’s best swimmers as they prepare for the British Gas Swimming Championships 2012 (selection trials), which run from 3 - 10 March.
Not only will this competition double as the selection trials for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, but the British Gas Swimming Championships will be the first swimming event to be held in the London Aquatics Centre.
For many, the British Gas Swimming Championships represents the final hurdle between them and their dream of competing at the only home Games of their career.
Double Olympic swimming champion Rebecca Adlington, Open water world champion Keri-anne Payne and six-times Paralympic champion Sascha Kindred will all be battling for the chance to represent Great Britain in London this summer.
Today six-time world champion Mark Foster launched three short films which reveal the lifetime of hard work, dedication and emotion that each of these world-class athletes has invested to get to this point.
The films narrated by Rebecca and her mother, Keri-anne and Sascha also contain never before seen family photographs and home videos.
