Today sees the launch of Siemens Stroke for Stroke Week, part of an ongoing campaign to raise awareness of the importance of regular exercise to lower stress levels and reduce the risk of stroke – the UK’s third biggest killer.

The campaign is backed by a new report released today by the Stroke Association, which found that it’s not only high levels of stress that is having a serious impact on our health, it’s the ways in which we choose to deal with stress, such as by drinking excessive alcohol, over-eating or smoking, which leads to increased blood pressure – a major issue for people of all ages, and the single biggest risk factor for stroke.
