A major review of the UKs school transport system will commence today, examining the future of home to school transport and the potential expansion of US-style yellow school buses across the UK.
The Yellow School Bus Commission, chaired by David Blunkett, was announced earlier this year by the UK's biggest transport company FirstGroup, and meets for the first time to review the yellow school bus model in the US, and make a number of visits to locations in the UK where schemes are already in operation.
